During the last few months I spent with the Document Cloud team in 2017, I ran a design sprint with 3 other designers where I asked them to envision a future where there would be no documents. What were the fundamental reasons documents existed?  Understanding the core use cases of information/knowledge transfer, archiving and recording content, and so on – I guided my team through a series of thought exercises to stretch our imagination and come up with a vision for what it would mean to say “we don’t need documents anymore”. The goal was to provoke and ignite conversations with leadership to facilitate innovation beyond the obvious.
